With the free admission, the Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst is enabling equal access to culture.

For our youngest audience, we provide a program of interactive activities, as well as special family afternoons.

Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult during their museum visit.

People with disabilities (alone or in groups) can plan their visit with accompaniment: Cynthia Gavranic from the museum team accompanies and supports our visitors (accessibility, mobility, questions) as needed. The guided tour with accompaniment lasts about an hour and is free of charge. Please arrange an appointment: cynthia.gavranic@mgb.ch.

Our exhibitions can now also be experienced from home. During our live guided tours by phone, museum educator Cynthia Gavranic leads participants through the exhibition of their choice, describing the artworks in detail. Participants can engage directly with her, ask questions, and discuss the exhibition as they go.

Tours can be booked either by phone or as a digital tour with image transmission via computer. The tours last approximately one hour and are free of charge. To book an appointment, please contact: cynthia.gavranic@mgb.ch

The Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst is launching this phone-based art mediation programme in cooperation with Bei Anruf Kultur. The German initiative was developed by the Blinden- und Sehbehindertenverein Hamburg (BSVH) and grauwert, an agency specializing in inclusion and demographic change solutions.

Our museum sees itself as an open place for everyone: a space for encounters, dialogue and the exploration of contemporary art. It is important to us that all visitors feel comfortable and safe. That is why we emphasise respectful interaction and mutual consideration.

We kindly ask our visitors to observe the following instructions, which protect the artworks, other visitors and our team. By entering the exhibition rooms, you accept the museum’s house rules:

• Discrimination, harassment and any other undesirable behaviour towards other visitors or employees of the museum will not be tolerated.
• Please do not touch artworks unless explicitly permitted.
• Children under the age of 12 are welcome if accompanied by an adult. We kindly ask you to ensure proper supervision.
• Smoking, running, talking on the phone, eating and drinking are not permitted in the exhibition rooms.
• With the exception of guide dogs and assistance dogs with a valid ID, animals are not permitted.
• Handbags and other items of luggage must be deposited in our free cloakroom.
• Photography for private purposes is only permitted without flash, tripod or selfie stick (exceptions are labelled).
• The exhibition rooms are under video surveillance for security reasons.
• Our visitor service is happy to assist all visitors – we ask all visitors to follow the team’s instructions.
