«YOUR LOGO* HERE!» by Stirnimann-Stojanovic

Performance June 13, 2025 06:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Venue: Exhibition

During Zurich Art Weekend, the artist duo Stirnimann-Stojanovic is presenting their performative offer «YOUR LOGO* HERE! » (2019-ongoing) in the exhibition.

«YOUR LOGO* HERE!» (2019-ongoing) by Stirnimann-Stojanovic is conceived as a «performative offer» in which the artists make themselves available as human advertising space.

The duo offers organisations or companies the opportunity to have their logo printed on T-shirts that they then wear for one year. The cost is 50,000 CHF per person (equivalent to 251 working days at 8 hours per day at 24.90 CHF per hour). With this offer, the artists question working conditions in the art system, artist remuneration, and mechanisms of (self-)exploitation. On the back of the T-shirts, a set of conditions requires interested parties to commit to acting sustainably, in solidarity, and with shared responsibility – not only within their own structures but also toward all involved third parties. As a result, the supposed «offer» becomes impossible (at least today), and «YOUR LOGO* HERE! » ultimately reveals itself as a manifesto advocating for fairer working and living conditions – not only in the art world but in society at large.

Paper items of the « performative offer» will be distributed by the duo – functioning as both a giveaway flyer and as a numbered limited edition (1000 copies) – matching the expected number of visitors during Zurich Art Weekend at the Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst.

Stirnimann-Stojanovic (Nathalie Stirnimann, *1990, Fribourg, Switzerland and Stefan Stojanovic, *1993, Vranje, Serbia; live in Zurich) have been active as an artist duo since 2015, and both graduated in 2020 with master's degrees in fine arts from the Zurich University of the Arts. Their concepts are manifested and materialized through situations, performances, words, and objects. Central themes in their practice include the social and structural issues of the art system as seen from the perspective of emerging artists. Through transdisciplinary and collective approaches that explore the boundaries between art, activism, and society, Stirnimann-Stojanovic aim to probe and challenge the reality of the art field, thereby thematize and demand for fairer and more sustainable working conditions.
