Wie Heimat schmeckt – Essen, Erinnerungen, Identität und Gemeinschaft
Venue: Caring Space
Meeting point: Museum entrance, ground floor
The intercultural association ExpoTranskultur and the Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst invite you to a shared meal at the museum. In a meeting space redesigned by artist Mohamed Bourouissa for his current exhibition Mohamed Bourouissa – Pour Noubia, we will be welcomed with a diverse selection of foods in an inspiring atmosphere.
All participants are invited to bring finger food, snacks, or cake from their respective country of origin – reflecting the theme “What Home Tastes Like.” This will create a colorful buffet that brings together different culinary traditions and personal stories.
During the shared meal, we will exchange memories, experiences, and meanings connected to the dishes we have brought. The discussion will be moderated and facilitated by ExpoTranskultur, creating an open space for encounters, dialogue, and cultural understanding.
A cooperation between the Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst, the support program ici. here together. by Migros Engagement, and the Zurich-based association ExpoTranskultur. ExpoTranskultur is part of the ici community.
