Opening: Carey Young: ""Legal Fictions"

The Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst presents the first solo exhibition in Switzerland of works by Carey Young (b. 1970, lives and works in London). Since the late 1990s, Young has explored the relationships between the body, language, rhetoric, and systems of power in works that employ a broad range of media. The new exhibition series "Collection on Display" consists of three shows devoted to the functions and possibilities of space and the role of the interior in contemporary art. The first installment brings together works by Monica Bonvicini, Heidi Bucher, Tom Burr, Urs Fischer, Pamela Rosenkranz, Markus Schinwald, and Cathy Wilkes. The event is hosted by our Art Educator Brigit Meier.
