Opening: Sound Performance and DJ Set with Inès Cherifi

Location: schwarzescafé, first floor

Inès Cherifi is a French producer and artist. Her music oscillates between symphonic sounds and incisive and radical kicks. An explosive burst of light in a dense and romantic abyss. Mutant and erratic sounds feed off each other to create an immersive feeling. She goes from improvisation to looping using vocals, synths and an electric violin. She takes to different places from vulnerability to protection or violence and ranging from ambiant to hardcore. Her influences waver between experimental music, electronica, noise, hybridclub. In the contemporary art scene, she has been programmed for performances at Lafayette Anticipation, Palais de Tokyo, FRAC Corsica and soon at MUCEM.

Her sound practice is part of the exhibition «BLISS»: a collaboration with the artist Tarek Lakhrissi accompanies his sculptural works.
