Art and memory
A drop-in workshop for young and old will take place at the vernissage. Based on the exhibition "May amnesia never kiss us on the mouth" by Basel Abbas and Ruanne Abou-Rahme, we will explore the topic of memory together: What things from our lives do we remember? When do we remember? Can a certain piece of music or food bring back a memory? How can music spatialize and become a collective archive? In the art education studio, we visualize memories as a collage and put together our own lists of music on our smartphones that remind us of our own incidents in life.
