Family Afternoon – Immaterial Collection Worlds: Friendship, Joy, Dreams
Free to join at any time!
- 2:00 – 2:30 PM: Short guided tour through the exhibition
- From 2:30 PM: Workshop in the Art Education Studio
Dear families and children with accompanying adults,
Today, we’re opening our doors especially for you! At 2:00 PM, we’ll take a short tour through the second part of the exhibition Accumulation, exploring themes of collecting, growth, and excess. The artists show the traces of a growth-driven society in our daily lives, from mountains of discarded clothing to waste dumps. At the same time, the exhibition emphasizes the importance of collecting not just material objects but also friendships, moments of joy, and dreams. It’s an invitation to imagine and create visions of new societal forms together.
What are the intangible things from our everyday lives that we cannot buy or own? And what would our personal collection of these look like? In the studio, we will create collages together using exciting materials to represent our immaterial worlds of collection. We can’t wait to see your ideas! The museum will also provide a delicious afternoon snack.
