Dialogical Tour: Art, Memory, and Power

Guided tours September 5, 2026 10:00 pm – 10:30 pm

Meeting Point: Museum Entrance, Ground Floor

Facilitator: Aina Rea Aliotta, Educator at Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst and Anti-Discrimination Specialist

As part of the Long Night of Museums, Aina Rea Aliotta invites visitors to join a critical, dialogue-based tour of the exhibition. In conversation with participants, the tour explores questions of belonging, memory, and power relations. Aina is particularly interested in how people experience and narrate their lives, especially from a post-migrant perspective. The works of Mohamed Bourouissa serve as starting points for questioning familiar viewpoints and discovering new perspectives on art and society.

Aina Rea Aliotta is an artist and educator whose work focuses on intercultural dialogue and anti-discrimination education. Drawing on a long-standing artistic practice, Aina explores questions of multiple belonging and social participation. Central to this work is an engagement with diverse lived realities and ambiguities that challenge dominant narratives and strengthen pluralistic perspectives. Building on their contribution to the exhibition The Mural Must Go! at the Bern Historical Museum in 2024, Aina develops and facilitates workshops for schools as well as dialogical learning formats. These initiatives foster critical exchange on social power structures, memory, and discrimination.
