Art and Healing Workshop with Living Museum Zürich

Art and Healing Workshops December 15, 2025 04:00 pm – 07:00 pm

Venue: Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst, Limmatstrasse 270, 8005 Zürich
Meeting point: In front of the museum entrance on the ground floor inside the building (next to the sign)

The collaboratively designed Art and Healing workshop series with the Living Museum Zürich has been taking place regularly since 2023 at the Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst or the Living Museum Zurich. These workshops create a space for interaction between people with and without psychiatric experiences or mental health topics.

In this open, creative environment, we will explore the theme of “Leap into the Unknown” starting in autumn. We will draw inspiration from the exhibition Haegue Yang: Leap Year. Haegue Yang (*1971 Seoul, lives in Berlin and Seoul) addresses themes of identity, migration, and history. She states: “My career has always been shaped by leaps into the unknown. The leap into the unknown is the ultimate definition of art.” Her poetic works inspire us to see the familiar in a new light, cross cultural boundaries, and create new connections between the past, present, and future.

During the workshops, we will explore Yang’s artworks and create using diverse materials such as paint, textiles, natural, or everyday objects. The focus is on interaction, creativity, and strengthening personal resources. At the end of the series, the resulting works will be publicly presented at a vernissage in the Living Museum Zurich.
