– 07:00 pm
Opening followed by the Löwenbräukunst Summer Party
The Korean artists MOON Kyungwon & JEON Joonho create works that address elemental questions concerning contemporary civilization. News from Nowhere: Zurich Laboratory is premised on a post-apocalyptic scenario: humanity has been wiped out almost entirely and is forced to reconsider longheld convictions that may no longer be tenable.
Collection on Display presents selected art from the collection of the Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst. Titled Experimental Arrangements, it showcases works by Mark Dion, Maria Eichhorn, VALIE EXPORT, Hans-Peter Feldmann, Raphael Hefti, Mai-Thu Perret, Hito Steyerl, Victor Vasarely, and Cathy Wilkes.
6 – 9 pm Opening
6 p.m. Speeches by Heike Munder (director, Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst) and Judith Welter (collection curator, Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst)
6–8 p.m. Children’s vernissage: The Atelier on the basement floor welcomes our little visitors with creative activities that explore the art on display in the exhibition.
