In the three-part performance series "The Welcome", the exhibition Evan Ifekoya ~ Resonant Frequencies becomes a place for encounter, healing, and community. Artists Maïa Nunes & Rory White (Dublin), Legion Seven (Berlin) and Ivy Monteiro (Zurich) invite the visitors to become part of an expanded collective experience through sound, music and dance.

Legion Seven
Since arriving in Basel a near decade ago, Legion Seven has catalyzed projects across a range of disciplines, enriching the city’s art and music culture with divergence, vulnerability and experimentation. In 2018, their multi-medial story-telling collaboration “The Several Ways I’ve Died In My Imagination” was awarded the Basler Medienkunstpreis. That following year, Seven was formally recognized for their overall artistic contributions to Basel City with the Kulturförderpreis of 2019. Commitment to an intensive re-structuring of their artistic practice has recently lead Seven from Basel to Berlin.
