Telephatic session with Gianni Motti

On the occasion of the Löwenbräukunst Season Opening, artist Gianni Motti presents the extrasensory performance Telepathic session. This performance consists of a telepathic session in which a group of people collectively concentrates their thoughts to positively influence or destabilize organisations that govern us.

Museum visitors who are present can also join in with their thoughts, and those who cannot be physically present are invited to participate from wherever they are.

Telepathy regularly appears in the work of Gianni Motti. Causing a nationwide sensation, Motti’s 1997 performance in Colombia Nada por la fuerza, todo con la mente gathered a collective which attempted to telepathically move the president at the time to resign. In the current collection exhibition Aus den Fugen – Momente der Störung 2, several works by Motti are on show. As its last iteration, the performance at Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst will conclude the artist’s series of Telephatic sessions.
