Stoff aus Luft: Das Verschwinden

Venue: In the exhibition

As part of the exhibition ‘This is How the Light Remembers,’ the performance ‘Das Verschwinden’ (The Disappearance) will be presented, inspired by the episode from the audio literature magazine ‘Stoff aus Luft’. The live adaptation brings together texts by Palestinian poets who recount Palestinian life and survival from different temporal and geographical perspectives, expanding them into the exhibition space.

The focus of the evening is on the sudden silence in urban canyons, the falling silent, the no longer meeting, lost libraries and words that turn upside down in one's own mouth. At the same time, it is about resistance to this: about remembering, repeating names, surviving, speaking and writing – despite everything; about attempts not to lose one's voice.

With texts by: Abdalrahman Alqalaq, Asmaa Azaizeh, Ghayath Almadhoun, Haidar Ghazali, Mahmoud Darwish, Josefine Berkholz, Fabian Saul and Tanasgol Sabbagh.
