Performance : Edward Thomasson, Find A Problem to Solve
The performance and video projects of the British artist Edward Thomasson (b. Stoke-on-Trent, UK, 1985) operate on the interfaces between theater and performance art, documented reality and theatrical fiction, and intimacy and isolation. As part of the exhibition at the Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst, Thomasson will present a new iteration of Find A Problem
to Solve (2009-ongoing), an ongoing performance project about physical and mental wellbeing that sees four performers sing and move together. The group action is punctuated by monologues that are continually rewritten by Thomasson and serve him as a medium of reflection on his own experiences, challenges, and solutions.
