Opening Performance with SAUL: «There, years after»
Venue: In the exhibition
For the opening of the exhibition ‘This Is How The Light Remembers’ at the Migros Museum of Contemporary Art, German author and composer Fabian Saul – under his stage name SAUL – will present the interdisciplinary performance ‘There, years after’. Together with spoken word artist Tanasgol Sabbagh, drummer Jonas Petry and bassist Franziska Aller, he will create a performance that combines narrative and sound, voice and atmosphere. Literature, music and performance intertwine to open up new artistic spaces.
In ‘There, years after’, SAUL's solo album “Homecoming” and his novel ‘Die Trauer der Tangente’ (The Sorrow of the Tangent) – also part of the exhibition – merge into a composition of music and language. His work explores the boundaries between language and sound: the voice becomes both a rhythmic foundation and a poetic call. SAUL combines the personal with the societal, intimacy with political urgency. In doing so, he questions established narratives and power structures and explores the transformative power of artistic expression.
Fabian Saul is an author, composer and musician. His works span various formats, including the audio series Schlechte Wörter and Stoff aus Luft. He is also editor-in-chief of Flaneur magazine, each issue of which is dedicated to a street somewhere in the world. Her current projects include blue lion, Minority and Conic Rose.
