A STAGED DIALOGUE ON INTERDEPENDENCE

Performance June 20, 2025 06:00 pm – 07:30 pm

Venue: Exhibition

Join Bare Minimum Collective for an hour of readings that reflect on friendship, collaboration, and shared memories collected over ten years of being close.

This event will stage multiple dialogues between interlocutors, some real and some imagined, in order to rethink accumulation as a positive action. Bare Minimum invites the audience to read and share memories that underscore their interdependence with others, moments when there appeared to an excess of care in their lives and relationships.

Participants are invited to bring letters, notes, stories and other things to read related to the follow themes: friendship, labour, collaboration and shared memory. Bar Minimum Collectice invites participants to share their texts.

Bare Minimum is a queer interdisciplinary anti-work art collective: «We hate working, hustling, neoliberal self-improvement, wage labour and surplus value, private property, how work eats into our time, our love, and our ability to make things in earnest. We are group of friends who decided to formally name an existing structure of relation that keeps us alive through our labour for each other. We are lazy, queer and many of us are disabled. Our work has most recently been on show at Kunsthalle Wien’s 2023 exhibition ‘In the Meantime, Winter Comes Around’, as well as in screenings at London's Institute of Contemporary Arts (2023) and Somerset House (2023).»
