Toolbox – for anyone who wants to know more
Toolbox, the digital exhibition guide, is a new art education program at the Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst. Contemporary art sometimes seems puzzling: What is it about? What is being referred to? What is there actually to see? And why does it make me sad, angry, happy or even euphoric? The toolbox provides access, conveying ideas and knowledge with which to approach the sometimes challenging works. It is a collection of information on the works and artists, as well as on the art-theoretical and art-historical background, and it attempts to cover the manifold links and references. Furthermore, it looks into the question of what the works have to do with our everyday lives and the reality in which we live. It can be used before, during or after visiting an exhibition!
