Among other things, the Blickfelder Festival presents theatre, dance and fine arts and makes them accessible from childhood. As part of the festival, since March 2022 around 100 pupils and kindergarten students from the Schütze School and their teachers have been working together with the artist Benjamin Egger and the art educators of the Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst on the participatory art education project “Screw it. I'm gonna start my own planet".
On June 10th, the results of this artistic sustainability project, which is based on the following scenario, will be presented in parallel in the Blickfelder Festival Center, the museum and the Schütze school: in the face of an imminent climate collapse on earth, the children in the Migros Museum create a new planet including species and ecosystem. The prelude will start at 5:30 pm at the festival center with the primary school students, who will report on their studies as scientists and then invite you to an excursion to the planet and its species in the museum. At the same time, there will be an exhibition of works by the kindergarten and school children in the foyer of the Schütze school.
