Our family in the House of Friendship
The Migros Museum of Contemporary Art opens its doors again especially for families. At 2, 3 and 4 pm we will view with young and old the collection exhibition Acts of Friendship 1 & 2 and the exhibition Ragnar Kjartansson – The Visitors. For Acts of Friendship, all members of the museum team were invited to select artworks from the collection for the exhibition that they felt had to do with friendship. The theme was inspired by Ragnar Kjartansson's video installation The Visitors. Here, musicians who are friends can be seen making music together in a villa, while Esther Eppstein's trailer from Acts of Friendship is a meeting place for friends.
Inspired by these two works, we collage and draw our family in a house of friendship: each room is inhabited by family members, friends - people, animals or mythical creatures - has its own style, furniture, colors and maybe an imaginary music.
The museum offers a delicious snack for all.
