Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst opens its doors again on two Sundays especially for families. At 2, 3 and 4 p.m., we will take a look at the multifaceted exhibition Renée Green - Inevitable Distances with young and old. Renée Green (*1959, US) uses spatial installations, image series and video and audio stations to investigate how personal memory relates to historiography and how we perceive objects or events differently due to biographical imprints. Her work is based on the experiences of Black people who don't live in the regions of origin of their ancestors - the Black Diaspora. For the creative part, we will be inspired by Renée Green's textile, musical and poetic themes as well as by our own memories. On colourful textiles we visualise our family memories in letters and pictures and hang up the cloths as a room installation, which we accompany with music. The Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst will offer a delicious snack for everyone.
