Meeting Point: Living Museum Zürich: Im Atelier 1
The collaboratively designed Art and Healing Workshop Series with the Living Museum Zurich has been taking place regularly since 2023 at the Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst or the Living Museum Zurich. The workshops create a space for encounters between people with and without psychiatric experiences or mental health topics.
Starting in February, we will explore the theme “Resistance and Solidarity” in this open, creative environment. The inspiration comes from the exhibition Disobedience Archive (Canopy for Broken Time). The Disobedience Archive is an ever-evolving video archive without a fixed location, addressing possible forms of resistance and solidarity. The exhibition features 50 selected films from the archive, encouraging reflection on societal change. It invites us to place community, togetherness, and sharing at the center during times of crisis and conflict.
In the workshops, we draw inspiration from the themes of the exhibition. We will work with a variety of materials such as paint, textiles, natural or everyday objects. The focus is on connection, creativity, and strengthening personal resources. At the end, the works created will be publicly presented at a vernissage in the Living Museum Zurich. The dates can be booked as a series or individually.
