– Practically oriented: teaching and the museum
We offer individual collaboration options for tertiary institutions. In close coordination, we jointly develop possibilities for enhancing educational programmes and curricula with a practical component at the museum. Moreover, we host entire seminars, engage in mentoring, and provide our own educational programmes on a wide variety of topics, while also enabling work placements and talks with our experts. In so doing, we operate in the fields of art education, art theory, art history, curatorial studies, production, and art handling. On the occasion of the museum's anniversary in 2016/2017, for example, we worked closely with various courses, giving students the opportunity to develop and implement their own art education formats. We see our museum as a practical partner for teaching and as an experimental platform for tertiary institutions – supporting, enabling and promoting the new within contemporary discourse.
In the context of an educational programme, student groups get free admission to the museum at any time. Cost-free guided tours are also possible. Please book in advance at kunstvermittlung@migrosmuseum.ch.
If you are interested in cooperating more closely, you are welcome to contact us at kunstvermittlung@migrosmuseum.ch.
